Description:
Can a sexy Hispanic action movie star find himself in the BWCA of upper Minnesota? Will the local woman he grows to love believe someone who “lies for a living”?

When the famous action movie star Raul Roderick needs to “clean-up” for a major role that even he doubts he can deliver, the director sends him up to a resort owned by his grandmother in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of upper Minnesota, to learn to commune with nature. His guide is Veronica, the director's cousin, a tall, athletic woman who has the relaxed, sensible nature of someone who knows herself well.

Raul hasn't been this far from his reliable drug-dealers for a very long time, and dealing with real-life is something he's never been very good at. His initial clumsy attempt to seduce her makes her laugh...so he calls her fat. Is there any hope that their relationship will progress beyond its rocky start? And can Raul overcome his partying nature to discover what is really important in life?

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains adult sexual situations (including a f/f/m ménage scene/scenes in the first chapter) and/or adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

Jared Miller, the famous yet reclusive director, is on the phone asking for a favor from his Grandmother who owns a resort in northeastern Minnesota.

"What is it this time?"

Jared cleared his throat audibly.

"I'm afraid it's bigger this time. I need you to let me send you a guest who will be there until I can get the crew up to start filming my next movie."

"And how long with that be?" Veronica grinned at Gram-Marie while the older woman rolled her eyes and shrugged.

"I don't know...it depends on a lot of things. Maybe a month? Six weeks tops. I've got to get a whole lot of folks packed and up there, so it's gonna take some time."

"And who is it you are expecting us to tolerate for an unspecified amount of time?"

"Ronnie! Would I send you someone you'd only tolerate?"

"Hell yeah! You'd send us Satan to baby-sit, if your next movie depended on it."

"Funny you should say that, cuz. He's only the biggest, baddest star in the business right now."

"Who is it?"

"You've heard of Raul Roderick, right?"

Marie snorted.

"Who?"

Jared chuckled, "The Gamer King? Avenge Tastes Sweet? MOFO-Town?"

"No," Marie said, while Veronica smiled at her, all the while filling the pie crusts with the flavors of the day.

"Well then, how about his romantic movies? Make Mine Latino? Or Three's a Crowd, But I Like Crowds?"

Veronica giggled. "Jared, you should see Gram-Marie's face! She looks like she just sucked a lemon!"

"What on earth are you people thinking of with these titles? Or these so-called plots? Why doesn't anyone make the kinds of movies I like to watch anymore?"

"Because you're too old for them to consider you a target market?"

Veronica whooped as she ducked away from the rolling pin tossed at her by her grandmother.

"Old, my ass! I just expect plots and they're too damn busy putting big, fake titties and young men without shirts into everything!"

"So you have heard of Raul then?" Jared chuckled.

Veronica explained, "Gram-Marie, he's the kind of actor who is very good at looking good in his movies, and he's always shirtless at some point. But he's kind of limited to playing the same kinds of men over and over again...not much range, and even less talent."

Jared burst in excitedly.

"Ah, but that's where you're so wrong, Ronnie! I only agreed to let him read for the part as a favor to his agent. But he blew me away! He's so right that he's the only actor I seriously considered for starring in my big epic film about the Boundary Waters area! You know, the one I always promised Grampa I'd make about his great grandfather, Hank Maynard?"

"If he's that good, why do you need to send him up here early?"

Marie nodded at Veronica's question, asked as she was busy putting the pies into the oven.

Jared cleared his throat again.

"Well, you see, there's the little problem of his drinking...and his drugs...and his whoring. He's a real party-animal and right now the only reason he's not in jail is that I went to court with him and basically told the judge I'd answer for his behavior until his probation is over."

"Probation for what?"

Marie's voice was steely. Everyone knew that her father had been a Canadian Mounty, and she was gung-ho on supporting law enforcement officials.

"He...uh...can't be allowed to drive for six months. They took his license away after he ran into a parked squad car because he thought he hit the brake pedal, but it was the gas pedal. Then when they got him out of the car, he was so blasted he didn't remember his real name. All he told them was that he was the famous actor Raul Roderick and that he'd get them supporting roles in his next picture if they would give him a ride to the meeting with me that he was already two hours late for."

"Obviously the officers weren't impressed, eh?" Marie sounded smug.

"No. They took him down to the station and booked him. I was the person he called for his one call...not his lawyer. So I got him released to my custody, but I've been having a hell of a time keeping him out from behind the wheel of a car, or out of bars and nightclubs. I'm afraid he's going to kill himself before I can get the performance of a lifetime out of him, that I'm convinced he has in him. So I really need your help..."

There was silence while Marie and Veronica communicated with each other non-verbally.

"Well?" Jared sounded anxious.

Marie nodded at Veronica, who spoke.

"We can't give you an answer now. We have to talk this over with the rest of the family. All of us have to agree to this, since we are all going to have to deal with this spoiled brat you want us to baby-sit for you."

Even the hottest sex might not be enough to ease the pain of the past…

Molly Simpson arrives at a beautiful provincial park, ready to spend the May Two-Four holiday camping with friends. This weekend is the highlight of her year—or it was, until Tanner Daivies showed up. Her high school crush is all grown up, sexy as sin, and he’s demanding answers—answers Molly isn’t sure she can give him. She had her reasons for leaving him all those years ago, but now, sex with Tanner is scorching, and when they’re together, it’s clear they were never meant to be apart. But the past doesn’t want to stay buried, and Molly isn’t sure reliving it is worth the risk…

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains explicit sex scenes and/or situations (including anal play, oral and outdoor sex) and adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

It was really him. Curiosity got the better of her, and she glanced back over her shoulder. Memories assaulted her as he removed his six-foot-plus frame from the car to stand in the center of the welcome circle. Her friends were all talking at him, their voices filled with excitement. Judging by his glazed expression, their reaction left him a little overwhelmed.

Ten years. She rubbed her chest, thinking back to the invisible ache that had bothered her earlier on the drive here. She’d struggled the entire two hours to keep her focus on the road and not on painful memories from her past.

She flexed her fingers. Maybe the cause of her earlier distress was the fact that this year served as a milestone. Ten years since graduation, ten years since she last saw Tanner, and ten years since…fuck. When did she start counting? Molly searched the area for possible escape routes.

Colleen’s gentle shake brought her back to the moment. “Brad texted me earlier and said he took the afternoon off. He also said he was bringing a surprise with him. He’s been dating somebody new. I just assumed—”

“Um…yeah. I wouldn’t have expected Brad’s surprise to be Tanner either. It…ah…caught me off guard. That’s—” Oh, crap. “I just need a few minutes.”

“You’ve got no color in your face. I’m sure it will be OK. Awkward, yes, but probably fine.”

Molly’s heart palpitated. Colleen’s mouth moved, but the buzz in her ears drowned out the words. She swallowed hard. Air, she needed air.

“Besides, the others won’t let him cause a scene. You’re the one we’ve stayed close to over the years, not him. Our allegiance is to you, honey.”

Molly swung her gaze to where her childhood friends had gathered around the car, effectively pinning Tanner against it. Sam and Olivia, a couple since they were in diapers, were married now, and both glowed like beacons.

Violet, a transplant from Toronto when her parents divorced, hovered close, waiting for her turn to say hi.

Brad and Tanner had been best friends through grade school and high school. Brad had been pissed when Tanner left town without a word to anyone. Looked as though he got over it.

Molly had never told anybody why she and Tanner broke up. She’d stressed over it at the time, deflecting comments from friends about him disappearing days before graduation. She hated the thought of being subjected to the pity she’d see on their faces if they knew the truth. Everybody just assumed the breakup had been his doing. She never corrected them, just implied she’d agreed with his decision.

Colleen’s words began to cut through the insistent noise. Molly nodded. “Thank you. That means more to me than you know.” Unshed tears burned her eyes. She opened her mouth and sucked in a shaky breath, but at least she had oxygen in her lungs now. “You’re right. It will be…fine.” She gulped. “Why don’t you go over and say hi?”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah. I’m going to wait here for a few more minutes.” She began calculating the odds of sneaking past her friends and making a quick getaway before any of them noticed. She made a mental note to back her car in next time.

“OK.” Colleen gave her a final squeeze and walked over to join the others.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Molly closed her eyes, wishing for a paper bag. A really big one. She so did not need this in her life right now.

Description:
Basil Tinwhistle's life changed when he was nine years old and he revealed that he had a proclivity for finding the paranormal. Taken from his family and raised by a special order of men dedicated to memorizing legend and hunting monsters, he's risked life and limb to keep the United States safe from terror in the night. More than that, he left behind the only woman who ever held his heart.

Foreseer Nora Frost's parents abandoned her in favor of pursuing sideshow careers in a circus. Her grandmother raised her with a strict hand to prevent history from repeating itself. Nora has never felt comfortable with herself, except for the brief summer Basil spent at her grandmother's antebellum mansion. When Basil vanished without a word, he broke her heart and she vowed never to fall in love again.

Years later, on one of Nora's worst days, Basil suddenly reappears. The attraction between them is as strong as it was that long ago summer, but Basil is about to reveal a danger Nora never imagined—one that might tear them apart before they can repair the past.

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains adult sexual situations and/or adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

He pushed through the door pistol first. Inside the circle of his protection ward, the goblin held Nora to its chest. Warty gray flesh covered its tall frame and pointy teeth grinned from beneath a bulbous nose hanging over its fat lips. At eight feet tall it dwarfed both him and Nora.

“There you are. We were beginning to worry.” Its cackle sounded like a draft horse walking over gravel. One big, gnarled hand swept across Nora's sable hair. She shuddered at the touch. Basil willed himself to be calm, to keep a rational mind. He wanted to kill the goblin and take her into his arms, reassure her that he wouldn't let anything like this happen again.

The Lighthouser wouldn't keep the goblin from slicing Nora's throat with its ragged fingernails. It needed magic to be undone, not the science of a laser beam. They had old business, he and the goblin. As long as the wards were unbroken or Basil roamed in the daylight, the creature couldn't touch him. It seemed things had progressed into a more difficult stage.

“I was detained by that wretched selkie. Forgive me. You were preparing to devour my lady love, weren't you?”

Nora's eyes widened and he heard her little gasp of breath.

“The selkie is your betrayer.” The goblin smiled, drawing its scaly lips back from green teeth. “Someday I shall talk her out of her real name so that I may coax her from the house as well.”

Suspicion confirmed, Basil made his way down the steps. “She gave you Nora's name, did she?”

“Oh, aye. Wouldn't set foot outside the house, but was eager to relinquish Miss Eleanor Frost to me.” As it spoke her name, it caressed her face. Then it spotted the bread in his arm. “What's that?”

“An offering. A tithe of bread in exchange for the woman.” The gun was useless, so he set it on the top step. His hand free, he removed the bread from the crook of his arm and held it out. The monster licked its lips and took half a step, forcing Nora forward. Her eyes pleaded with Basil to do something more than hold a conversation.

The goblin froze abruptly. A phlegmy growl rose out of its throat. “It's a trick.”

“A business transaction,” Basil corrected. “That's all this is. You have something I want and I have something to trade. No reason for bloodshed.”

Thick drool rolled down its chin. Desire for his offering flickered in its golden eyes. The monster smacked a thick purple tongue against its lips. Shaking its head violently, it lifted Nora's feet from the ground. She let out a sob.

The goblin's arm tightened around Nora's waist. “No! I came for the caibe-sith. You took it and you must have it.”

Basil's heart skipped a beat. “Your fairy spade isn't here. I sent it to the Guardians. Right now they're busy figuring out how it produces its magic.”

“Guardians.” The venom behind the word almost caused Basil drop the bread. “This is our world, Tinwhistle. The Guardians have no right to hunt us, to steal from us. They are no better than us. You are no better.”

Deep down, the goblin's words fanned his own ember of hatred for the Guardians. He snuffed out the thought of what they'd taken from him.
